About the host

Nicole worked as a paralegal for a leading pharmaceutical company before deciding to become a stay at home mom. She started a vacation rental in Salt Lake City, UT, near world-class ski resorts, as a means to generate supplemental income for her and her family. Like many other accommodations in the area, she was using one listing site and bookings came easy during the “high season” or ski months. However, come April, she noticed a sharp drop in bookings. Nicole liked the flexibility and idea of keeping her place a short-term rental but needed a way to increase her occupancy rates to prevent finding permanent tenants.

The solution

Lodgable saw a huge opportunity to help Nicole broaden her reach into the business travel sector. Traditionally, most hosts, like Nicole, fall into the trap of only advertising on one or two sites like VRBO or AirBnB.
