About the host

Jared is the general manager for Craigland Properties, a property management group that has over 11 employees and manages dozens of college dorms in Southeastern Idaho. Craigland has contracts with the area university and is able to keep their units full during the school year, but experiences vacancies between semesters. Jared was seeking a partner to help them find a solution to their seasonality problem.

The solution

Jared discovered Lodgable during his off season and just weeks before a large local event. He hoped to offer his student housing as short-term rentals for upcoming visitors. Sensing the urgency, The Lodgable Team gathered and imported Jared’s fleet of 24 properties into the Lodgable platform, all within 48 hours. Once Jared reviewed and activated his rentals, Lodgable published his listings to Booking.com, Priceline, Kayak, TripAdvisor, and others. A task that would take most people weeks or months was accomplished in just a few days.

We help you manage your rentals and market them to places like AirBnB and Expedia (called channels). You are still responsible for paying any commissions they impose directly to the channel. Other add-on services offered by other business (like Stripe Payment Processing) may also charge fees.

Lodgable may partner with these travel companies directly or connect with them by means of other third party distributors, travel bureaus, travel agents, or wholesalers authorized to conduct business on their behalf. Lodgable makes no claims that a travel company will accept any of your rentals. It is up to each individual travel company and/or third party to accept or deny your rental(s) based on their own reasoning. You, not Lodgable, will be required to pay all commissions to such travel companies in exchange for advertising your rentals and/or facilitating bookings.
